Bio

My name is Sandra and I am a freelance makeup artist & stylist based in Valencia, Spain. I have always had a great interest in everything visual, in creating an image and producing ideas and concepts from start to finish. That is how I first became interested in makeup and that is my philosophy: makeup is an art, it is creativity.

I started working as a MUA in 2005 while doing Film Studies at the University of Liverpool, UK, and continued after coming back to Spain, working on photoshoots, events and short films. In 2007 I graduated in Audiovisual Communication which provided me with all the necessary knowledge, from different eras, styles and lighting conditions to the most technical aspects of image. I am also certified in Visagism and Makeup by Desiree Cosmetology School.

I have worked in numerous photoshoots, magazines, events and all types of social makeup (proms, weddings, etc.) I specialise in retro styling (from the 30s to the 70s) and I have a large wardrobe devoted to these periods.

I also hold makeup courses for different levels, from teenagers who are just starting with makeup to mature women who need more advanced techniques.

I am bilingual in Spanish-English and I speak some German, so I am able to work in international environments.
